Private Equity & Real Estate Research Analyst - Senior Vice President

The Private Equity and Real Estate Research Analyst will be a member of the Global Alternatives research team which is focused on the sourcing and diligence of compelling private equity and real estate opportunities for distribution to Citi Wealth’s client base. The position will involve the analysis, diligence, structuring, and syndication of private equity and real estate investment opportunities to address the needs of our global wealth client base. Investment vehicles sourced by the team include investment funds, separate accounts, investment club structures, and co-investments. This will be a position on the International Private Equity and Real Estate Research Team within Global Alternatives, and will be focused primarily on Western European, UK, and Asia-Pacific focused investment opportunities.

The position will lead the investment process from sourcing opportunities to investment due diligence, structuring, and obtaining committee approvals. In addition, this role will be responsible for helping to educate Citi Wealth’s global banker, investment counselor and financial advisor base on newly launched opportunities as well as assisting with syndication of opportunities to Citi Wealth’s global client base. The ideal candidate will have significant private equity and real estate investment experience, be comfortable working on multiple transactions at once, an ability to navigate a global client base, and strong presentation skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the diligence, structuring, and negotiation of International focused private equity and real estate investment opportunities for Citi Wealth r clients.
• Lead and support the distribution efforts of private equity and real estate products for the Citi Wealth global client base.
• Prepare and present investment memorandums to Citi’s internal investment and risk committees; this includes quantitative and qualitative analyses used in evaluating potential investments.
• Prepare relevant offering materials including marketing decks, fact cards, FAQs, etc. to assist in marketing efforts of newly launched investment offerings.
• Conduct training sessions and follow ups for bankers, investment counselors, and financial advisors for newly launched investment offerings.
• Provide verbal and written updates to clients and respond to inquiries on investment offerings.
• Ongoing monitoring of legacy platform private equity and real estate investments including quarterly updates, attending manager meetings and summary memorandums.
• Provide timely and frequent updates to global senior management.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in real estate, private equity, or investment management.
• Prior experience investing in private equity or real estate investment funds; direct investment experience structuring vehicles a plus.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and drive to leverage available resources to create solutions and suggestions for senior team members.
• Strong negotiation, analytical skills, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel (modeling), Microsoft Word (investment memos), and Microsoft PowerPoint (presentations).
• Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
• Must be able to work as an effective, collaborative team member in a global environment as well as independently lead tasks, as necessary.
• Ability to travel.

Education

• CFA qualification Preferred
• BS/BA in finance, accounting, mathematics, statistics, or related field required; Master’s Degree.
