• £26,000 to £28,000 pa
• Standard hours: 8:00am-4:30pm (flexitime available - most of the team start at 7:00am and finish by 3:30pm)

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Gardener to join a friendly and dedicated team on a stunning private estate in the Cotswolds.

This is a hands-on, full-time role suited to someone with broad horticultural knowledge and a genuine love for working outdoors in all seasons. The estate features a diverse and beautifully maintained landscape including formal gardens, orchards, lakes and ponds, wildflower meadows, greenhouses, and a productive kitchen garden.

The gardens are both formal and naturalistic in style, with key features including:

• Colourful borders and ornamental planting
• Orchards and fruit trees
• Greenhouses and a thriving kitchen garden
• Lakes, ponds, wetland areas, and woodland walks
• Communal areas such as poolside gardens and pathways
• Sheep grazing in surrounding fields (managed by a separate shepherd)

• Day-to-day care of formal gardens: weeding, pruning, planting, mowing, and edging
• Seasonal orchard work including pruning and light maintenance
• Greenhouse propagation and nurturing of young plants
• Supporting the kitchen garden with crop planning, rotation, and harvesting
• Light upkeep of wild and woodland areas, wetland paths, and meadows
• Basic pond and lake maintenance, including debris clearance and aquatic plant care
• General estate tidying, including communal areas and poolside planting

• Previous experience working on a private estate or in a large, varied garden
• Strong practical gardening skills with a keen eye for detail
• A self-starter with a can-do attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Physically fit, dependable, and happy to work outdoors year-round
• Horticultural qualifications are welcome but not essential
• Chainsaw certification and PA1/PA6 spraying licenses are advantageous but not essential
