Private Housekeeper - Part-Time

Location: Oakmere, Cheshire

Schedule: Ideally Monday, Wednesday & Friday (approx. 4 hours per day - flexible)

About the Role

We are a busy, friendly family of five seeking a discreet, reliable and proactive Housekeeper to help keep our beautiful family home running smoothly. You’ll be working in a relaxed but well-organised environment, supporting a family with three children (aged 16, 10 and 2) and two dogs.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and is confident managing a wide range of domestic tasks.

Main Responsibilities

• General cleaning (floors, surfaces, bathrooms, internal windows, etc.). High quality cleaning equipment and materials will be provided
• Laundry: washing, ironing and putting away clothes and linens
• Occasional deep cleaning as needed (e.g. ovens, skirting boards, cupboards)

General household organisation (e.g. tidying toys, rotating seasonal clothing)

• Grocery collection and other occasional errands (mileage covered)
• Occasional dog-sitting or feeding when the family is away

Person Specification

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Trustworthy and discreet - respects family privacy
• A self-starter with strong initiative
• Experienced in housekeeping (private homes preferred)
• Comfortable around dogs and children
• Professional, punctual with a keen eye for detail and high standards

Requirements

• Valid UK right to work
• DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Checkable references essential
• Full UK driving license - mileage will be reimbursed for errands or shopping trips

Terms

• Part-time: approx. 12 hours per week across 3 days
• Flexible working hours by mutual agreement
• Additional hours may be available
• Offered on a self-employed basis
