Position Overview
A prestigious private household in Kensington is seeking an experienced, discreet, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join their team. The property is maintained to the highest possible standard, and the ideal candidate will bring extensive experience from ultra-high-net-worth residences, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of luxury service.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Maintain the residence to immaculate standards, including daily cleaning, deep cleaning schedules, and seasonal upkeep
⢠Careful cleaning around valuable artworks, antiques, and luxury furnishings
⢠Laundry and wardrobe management, including care of fine fabrics, couture pieces, and delicate garments (steaming, hand-washing, ironing, stain removal)
⢠Organisation of wardrobes, closets, and storage areas in a systematic and logical manner
⢠Work collaboratively as part of a professional household team
⢠Inventory and stock management of cleaning products and household supplies
⢠Liaising with other household departments and staff, always maintaining discretion and professionalism
⢠Travel with the household when required, particularly during the summer months, maintaining the same rota and standards while abroad
⢠Ensure all areas are guest-ready at all times, upholding the principalâs preferences and privacy
Working Schedule
⢠Five days per week, 10-hour shifts
⢠Two days off per week on a rotational basis (at least one full weekend off per month; days off may vary depending on family schedule)
⢠Shift patterns:
â Monday to Saturday: 07:00 â 17:00
â Sunday: 08:00 â 18:00
⢠Travel required during summer months and occasionally at other times (same rota applies abroad)
Household Details
⢠Large, fully staffed residence in Kensington
⢠One teenager in residence
⢠Pets in the household (no pet care required)
Requirements
⢠Minimum 5â6 years of experience working in private residences, ideally for UHNW families
⢠Expertise in laundry and wardrobe care, especially delicate and high-value garments
⢠Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
⢠Experience working in fully staffed households and as part of a team
⢠Confident handling valuable artworks and luxury interiors
⢠Discreet, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining confidentiality
⢠Fluent English; Russian language skills are an advantage
⢠Eligibility to work in the UK
