A reputable and long-standing law firm is seeking a Probate Manager to join their close-knit team in Heathfield. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to take full ownership of their own caseload of probate matters, from instruction through to completion.

This firm specialises in property and private client work and prides itself on delivering personalised legal solutions with a warm, collaborative approach.

About the Role:

As a Probate Manager, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of probate matters independently, with minimal supervision. You’ll be the key point of contact for clients throughout the process, offering a compassionate and professional service during what is often a difficult time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the full lifecycle of probate cases from start to finish
  
  
• Preparing and submitting applications for Grants of Probate
  
  
• Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and HMRC
  
  
• Administering estates including gathering assets, paying liabilities, and distributing estate funds
  
  
• Drafting relevant legal documentation and maintaining accurate records
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience handling probate cases independently
  
  
• Confidence in managing files from initial instruction through to conclusion
  
  
• Strong communication and client care skills
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
  
  
• Legal qualification preferred but not essential – applications welcome from both qualified and non-qualified individuals with relevant experience
