Process Chemist – Chemicals – Permanent – Staffordshire

Our client is a market leader in the manufacture speciality chemicals. They are seeking an ambitious Process Chemist at their manufacturing facility based in Staffordshire.
This role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Process Chemist to be the 'go to' subject matter expert on site and take the next step in their career.

You will be degree qualified in Chemistry (preferably Organic Chemistry) with previous chemical industry, process development or industrial R&D experience.

Responsibilities:
To support development, scale-up and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and new products through application of chemistry and process knowledge. Bridge laboratory development and manufacturing operations by coordinating plant trials, supporting production performance, driving manufacturing excellence and delivering process improvements.

Processes, Manufacturing Excellence & NPD
• Support and develop and scale up new products from laboratory to commercial manufacture.
• Design, execute and evaluate laboratory studies and production trials.

• Propose modifications and troubleshooting to existing processes

• Develop technical expertise and to share the expertise throughout the organisation
• Troubleshoot process issues and facilitate root cause investigations.
• Improve safety, quality, yield, throughput and cost performance.
• Monitor and report production KPIs, OEIs and kg/kg performance.
• Support continuous improvement projects.
• Support Operations as required
