Salary: Circa 61,587 depending on skills, knowledge and experience


Band: 3


Position type: 12 months FTC ( fixed term contract) with permanency possible 


Location: Palestra ( Southwark -  London)/Hybrid


 


Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.


 


Job Purpose 


The Process Specialist will support upholding the design of the end to end (E2E) process and the delivery and performance of the process aligned to that. They will analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of established processes, provide recommendations to feed into improvement strategies, and facilitate changes using the appropriate methodology.


 


The Process Specialist will work with the Global Process Owner, Business Services Function (BSF) Team and retained function to ensure that the E2E process is adhered to and that change control is managed and governed appropriately. The role involves drawing requirements from senior stakeholders, stakeholder management, work prioritisation, be the subject matter expert for the process, and create/update process standard operating procedures. They will interface with Global Process Owners, Delivery Leads, and Continuous Improvement team to support and address process related issues/challenges, process optimisation opportunities and play an active role on any process improvement projects


 


Key accountabilities


• Takes the lead on identifying improvement to processes in functional area and translate into requirements to feedback into a programme of continuous improvement


• Drives process improvement in their functional area in alignment with the wider end-to-end process by analysing processes, making recommendations on improvement opportunities


• Partner with the Delivery Leads in their functional areas to identify, design and deliver process improvement, providing advice on best practice process


• Coordinates driving Continuous Improvement within the E2E process, fostering a user experience and requirements driven approach to optimise colleague experience


• Looks to Identify opportunities to optimise the service model and makes recommendations to the GPO


• Applying the right processes, methods and tools to identify improvements and deliver changes


• Provides support and analysis in the resolution of major performance issues / issues with the performance of the process in collaboration with the relevant Delivery Lead


• Translates requirements effectively, whilst adhering to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) design principles


• Responsible for ensuring that training materials / Standard Operating Procedures are available to support the E2E Process


• Supports change programmes with the design and implementation of process improvement as required (e.g. ERP)


• Networking and benchmarking externally so we can bring in insight and have an awareness of market leading products / processes


• Supports the GPO with process governance to ensure that their sub-processes are adhered to within their area/s


 


 


Skills, Knowledge and Experience


Knowledge


• Good understanding of how the processes work in their functional area/s


• Strong knowledge of process modelling methodologies


• Knowledge of business analysis and supporting activities (e.g. requirements gathering etc.)


• Knowledge of relevant systems


• Knowledge of TfL policies


• Knowledge of applying continuous improvement methodologies


• Knowledge of other processes in the business and how they interface with their own process/es


 


Skills


• Expert in relevant processes and tools applicable to the E2E Process


• Excellent at understanding, documenting and assessing complex business requirements


• ARIS/ Visio/ other process modelling experience


• Strong attention to detail, with strong numeracy and analytical thinking


• Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement improvements


• Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders


• Strong stakeholder management skills


• Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders


 


Experience


• Experience of working in matrix management across Business Services environment and relevant functions


• Process modelling experience


• Detailed understanding of operational process and technologies


• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
