Job Description - Procurement Administrator

Are you an organised and detail-focused individual looking to develop your career within a fast-paced procurement environment? We are working with a well-established business based in Northallerton, who are seeking a proactive Procurement Administrator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their role and is confident working with documentation, systems and suppliers. You will support the Procurement Manager and wider team in the creation and management of procurement documentation and job costing, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare customer-supplied documentation, including technical drawings and bills of materials for costing
• Request quotations from suppliers for manufactured products
• Source and cost generic components via online portals and e-commerce platforms
• Assess costings and lead times to support accurate project planning
• Support the rollout of new automated costing software
• Place purchase orders and support general purchasing activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement and assist with other business needs as required

About You:

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident working with figures, data and documentation
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
• Previous experience in purchasing or manufacturing is beneficial, though not essential
• Comfortable using online portals and Microsoft Office
• A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
