Procurement & Inventory Coordinator
Location: Hailsham Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, enhanced pension, onsite parking, training and development
Are you an experienced supply chain or procurement specialist who enjoys a dynamic, hands-on environment? KHR have partnered with an established, specialist manufacturing and logistics partner who supports key industries with specialised product solutions.
We are seeking a Procurement professional to take ownership of purchasing and supplier management, with a small element of hands-on stores and warehouse support. The role is primarily focused on procurement, ensuring materials are sourced efficiently and on time, while also providing support with stock, goods in and dispatch when required.
Responsibilities will include:
Procurement
- Sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality materials and components within budget - Raising purchase orders and managing key supplier performance, lead times, and onboarding - Tracking inventory levels to prevent shortages, manage slow-moving stock, and streamline re-orders - Partnering with internal production, technical, and warehouse teams to forecast material demand - Driving cost-saving initiatives and continuous supply chain improvements
Stores & Dispatch Operations
- Accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch - Managing goods-in, stock counts, cycle counts, and system reconciliations - Operating warehouse handling equipment (including forklifts) to load and unload deliveries safely - Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant warehouse environment
Candidate Profile
Supply Chain Expertise: Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination Negotiation & Vendor Management: Strong communication skills with a track record of building supplier relationships Warehouse Experience: Practical knowledge of picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory systems Equipment Certification: Valid forklift licence and experience with warehouse handling equipment would be beneficial Technical Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office, procurement platforms, and stock control software Mindset: Proactive, highly detail-oriented, organised, and safety-conscious
