Procurement Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join a busy and growing organisation in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience within procurement, purchasing, buying or supply chain who is looking to develop their career within procurement.

The position is initially offered on a 6 month contract, with a strong possibility of developing into a permanent opportunity.

The Role

Working closely with suppliers and internal departments, you will support the day to day procurement function and help ensure goods and services are purchased efficiently, at the right cost and within required timescales.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Raising and managing purchase orders

* Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and lead times

* Obtaining and comparing supplier quotations

* Monitoring outstanding orders and expediting deliveries

* Supporting supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives

* Maintaining accurate supplier and purchasing information

* Resolving delivery, pricing and invoice queries

* Monitoring stock requirements and helping maintain continuity of supply

* Supporting supplier performance and KPI reporting

* Working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance and other internal departments

* Maintaining accurate information within ERP/purchasing systems

* General procurement and purchasing administration

About You

Previous experience within procurement, purchasing, buying or supply chain is required. You should be organised, commercially aware and confident communicating with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Experience raising purchase orders, working with ERP systems and managing supplier relationships would be particularly beneficial.

Hours & Salary

Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with an early finish on Friday
Contract: 6 months initially, with the opportunity to become permanent
