Procurement Logistics Specialist (Pharma) - Relocation to Ireland

Our client is a global company with a site in Ireland and provides solutions for animal health and nutrition. The product line helps prevent, control, and treat diseases, improve animal health and performance, and maintain balanced nutrition.

We are seeking

a Purchasing and Logistics Specialist

for the site in Ireland. The role will be part of the local Finance Team, and responsible for sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiation, order processing for Opex and Capex supplies and services, and inventory control for the manufacturing site.

Responsibilities:
Understand business needs across all spending areas
Source materials, equipment, and services for efficient business operations
Partner with departments to select and manage suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and best value
Develop and manage purchase agreements meeting cost, quality, and delivery targets
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring SLA adherence
Process purchase requests, and generate and release purchase orders
Resolve purchasing issues, ensuring timely and accurate supply
Escalate supply chain issues promptly
Assist in planning and coordinating materials for production and maintenance, ensuring quality and compliance
Develop and maintain inventory control procedures

Requirements:
MUST: Background in Pharma.
5+ years in Supply Chain (pharmaceutical GMP sourcing a plus)
International & multi-site sourcing experience
Managing large, multi-national vendor relationships
Global import/export & customs brokerage
ERP systems (JDE preferred)
Contract negotiation
Order management, planning, buying, scheduling
Excellent negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, economics, logistics, etc.)
APICS or IIPMM certification (desirable)
