Job Description - Procurement Manager

I'm currentlypartnered with a leading business in Central Bristol who are going through aperiod of expansion. Due to this growth, they are now looking to recruit aProcurement Manager to join the business to help design and deliver a continuedstrategic approach towards sourcing and contracting to ensure a value for moneyapproach is taken.

In this role, you willhelp to support an existing function deliver Group level strategy, runcradle-to-grave procurement for both goods and services, help to develop acontracts database and effective SRM process and work closely with internalstakeholders to deliver procurement best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the design and delivery of a new, group wide procurement strategy and work closely with FinOps to create an 'Annual Procurement Plan'
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for a wide range of goods and services
  • Develop an effective approach to supplier relationship management via supplier KPIs to monitor quality, spend and compliance
  • Creation of a contracts database to monitor terms, renewals and performance
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders / budget holders to deliver procurement best practices, processes and governance
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier consolidation in areas of significant spend
  • Ensure a robust supply chain to mitigate risks
  • Effectively manage the creation of procurement documentation
  • Work closely with finance throughout the procurement lifecycle to assist with forecasting, budgeting and spend
  • Help develop the procurement function in the future with external recruitment and potential management responsibilities


What would make you agood fit?

  • Strong working experience in similar procurement roles
  • A deep understanding of procuring indirect goods and services
  • CIPS qualifications would be desirable
  • Previous experience developing procurement strategy
  • Commercially astute with the capability to negotiate, influence and manage internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build robust relationships across a variety of levels
  • An analytical, problem solving and solution orientated mindset
