A growing manufacturing business is searching for a Procurement Manager in the greater Maidstone area.
Your Role While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
Collaborating with the procurement team to source specific product lines
Designing and implementing a robust procurement strategy aligned with company KPIs and strategic goals
Developing supply programmes based on both customer demand and supplier availability
Leading pricing negotiations, placing purchase orders, and managing products throughout the supply chain
Maintaining accurate purchase and sales order records using the ERP system
Supporting the logistics and planning teams to ensure up-to-date and accurate load plans for all products and suppliers
Providing accurate pricing and cost modelling on a weekly basis, as well as commercial reports to reflect commercial performance and availability outlook
Managing supplier claims and complete all related invoice and credit note processing, including finalisations
Continuously assessing and challenging supply chain processes to optimise product quality and support delivery of company goals
Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to drive innovation, explore alternative sources, and support local and sustainable production where applicable
Conducting supplier visits to strengthen relationships and enhance procurement strategies
Liaising directly with customers to demonstrate category knowledge and effectively communicate procurement strategy

Excellent procurement and supply chain experience
Exposure specifically within food manufacturing and fresh produce
Fantastic verbal and written communication skills
Strong commercial acumen with an affiliation for numbers and data
Keen eye for detail and organisational abilities
Able to contribute on weekends, as per a weekend rota
