Location: Slough, Berkshire Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience) Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and develop the procurement function for a well-established engineering and services business based in Slough.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in supporting operational delivery through effective sourcing of materials, equipment and subcontracted services. You will build strong supplier relationships, negotiate commercial agreements and identify opportunities to improve value, efficiency and performance across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead procurement activities across the business to support operational delivery.
* Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships, ensuring quality, reliability and value.
* Negotiate commercial agreements and achieve the best possible outcomes.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive supply chain efficiencies.
* Support supplier onboarding, selection and performance management.
* Manage supplier issues, disputes and procurement escalations.
* Work closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure procurement supports service delivery.
* Act as the key liaison with the wider Group Procurement function.
* Ensure all procurement activity complies with company policies, governance and procedures.
* Monitor supplier performance, costs and contractual arrangements.
* Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and commercial performance.
About You
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in supplier management, commercial negotiation and delivering value through effective procurement.
Ideally, you will have:
* Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
* Strong supplier and subcontractor management experience.
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Experience managing supplier performance and contracts.
* Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Strong Excel and procurement systems knowledge.
Desirable:
* Experience within Building Services, Facilities Management, Engineering or Construction.
* Experience working within structured procurement and governance frameworks.
* CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS.
* Relevant commercial, business or supply chain qualifications.
