Job – Procurement Manager

Salary – Up to 50k per annum depending on experience and qualifications

Holiday- 25 Days per annum plus bank holidays.

Location – Ware Campus – Monday to Friday – 8:45am-5pm ( Minimum 4 days on site )

Closing Date – 7th October 2026 @ Midday

We are currently recruiting a Procurement Manager for Hertford Regional College (HRC) to overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.

About The Role

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organisation has access to the necessary resources, materials, and services to meet our operational needs and deliver on our strategic objectives. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to support the College goals and objectives.

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting thorough market research and analysis to ensure the selection of high-quality, cost-effective suppliers.

• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, optimising terms, and conditions to minimise risks and maximise value.

• Monitor and analyse market trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement requirements and provide guidance and support throughout the procurement process.

About You

You will bring:

✔ Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C /or equivalent in English & Maths

✔ Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualified. (Minimum of Level 4)

✔ Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar procurement role.

✔ Supplier relationship management.

✔ Public contracts

✔ Tender processes.
