Procurement Officer

Location: Morden (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 from home)
Salary: £40,000 - £43,000

Are you experienced in public sector procurement and looking to contribute to impactful projects? Join a leading public sector organisation as a Procurement Officer, managing key procurement initiatives while ensuring compliance with UK public procurement regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee procurement projects, ensuring they are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
Lead the preparation of tenders, quotations, and contracts, ensuring alignment with public sector procurement requirements.
Apply and enforce UK public procurement regulations, including EU and national guidelines, to ensure full compliance and transparency.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, external suppliers, and government stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions that meet the needs of the public sector.
Provide advice and guidance on procurement policies, ensuring best practices and regulatory adherence.

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in managing procurement projects within a public sector or local government setting.
In-depth knowledge of UK public procurement regulations, including frameworks and compliance.
Hands-on experience in tender preparation, supplier negotiations, and working with cross-functional teams.
Strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders in the public sector.
