Procurement Officer

We are seeking a diligent Procurement Officer to join our procurement and supply chain team. The successful candidate will manage procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchase of all goods and services without compromising quality and efficiency.

Description

• Managing the procurement processes, ensuring all purchases are cost-effective and high quality
• Directly providing a range of services relating to the procurement of goods, services and works.
• Undertake procurement and tender activity in line with Public Contracts Regulations and the Procurement Act 2023.
• To support a 'best value' procurement environment, including ongoing contract management supporting Corporate Plans.
• Provide commercial / procurement advice.
• Produce quality reports to assist in overall planning.

Profile

A successful Procurement Officer should have:

• Experience in leading or supporting on competitive tender processes.
• An understanding or Public Sector PCR Regulations is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
• Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks effectively.

Job Offer

• A salary range of £33,500 - £43,000 depending on experience and CIPS status.
