Procurement Officer

Are you an experienced Procurement professional looking to join a thriving and expanding team? Reed Business Support is proud to be working in partnership with our Sheerness-based client, who is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to support their continued growth.

As Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in managing the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services, ensuring best value and compliance with company policies. You’ll work closely with internal departments and external suppliers to maintain strong relationships and streamline procurement processes.

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing to supplier negotiation and contract management
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong working relationships
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
• Analyse market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain accurate records and prepare procurement reports
• Support strategic procurement initiatives and continuous improvement projects

• Previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• CIPS qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
