Procurement Officer

My client is hiring a Procurement Assistant to come in and play a key role in the efficient functioning of their procurement operations.

This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a keen interest in supply chain management.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies
• Prepare and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc
• Manage inventory and maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Review and analyse all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Procurement Assistant or in a similar role
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
• A knack for negotiation and networking
• Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
