We are currently working with one of the fastest growing Solar companies in the UK. They are the UK’s first subscription based solar service which is a real benefit to the customer as rather than having a large upfront payment, they can spread the cost over a subscription. This has really helped them gain a lot more customers over the last couple of years and increased their sales. They have been running since 2022 but have huge financial backing and are rapidly expanding operations because of this.
They are seeking a Procurement Associate to join their Operations team, ensuring the smooth flow of equipment, materials and stock across the business. The company have scaled significantly over the past two years, operate from a central London office, and are continuing to expand their installation capacity nationwide.
The company deliver domestic solar PV installations across the UK, and this role will be primarily based from Head Office, with occasional travel to suppliers, storage locations or installation hubs when required. You will be responsible for raising and tracking purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, coordinating logistics, forecasting demand based on the install pipeline, and ensuring stock levels remain accurate and aligned with operational needs.
You will work closely with Operations leadership, Finance, Logistics and Installation teams, ensuring installs are never delayed due to shortages, incorrect deliveries or stock discrepancies. Your role will include responsibilities for procurement administration, supplier negotiation, invoice matching, demand forecasting, inventory accuracy, and improving procurement processes as the business continues to scale. So you’ll literally be the first point of contact taking ownership of this.
There are clear routes for progression available to you as well. As the supply chain grows, the company intend to build a larger procurement function, with opportunities to move into senior procurement, supply chain or wider operations roles. The business also offers equity, strong benefits and ongoing training to support long‑term development.
Day to day, that means:
*
Processing orders with our wholesalers — raising purchase orders, confirming pricing and lead times, and chasing deliveries so installs aren’t held up
*
Supporting logistics — coordinating the movement of equipment between suppliers, storage, and installation teams, and resolving issues like shortages, damages, or delays
*
Managing demand forecasts — using our install pipeline to anticipate what we’ll need and when, keeping stock at the right level to avoid both shortages and overstocking
*
Keeping the numbers straight — matching invoices to orders, flagging discrepancies, and helping track procurement spend against budget, as well as ensuring accurate inventory and performance reports are shared with Operations leadership.
*
Building strong supplier relationships — being a reliable, professional point of contact and helping us secure better pricing and terms as we scale
*
Improving how we work — spotting ways to make our ordering, stock, and forecasting processes more efficient as the business grows
Desirable:
*
Experience with demand forecasting or inventory management
*
Background in electrical wholesale, construction, manufacturing, renewables or e‑commerce
*
Experience using procurement, ERP or inventory management software
*
Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot etc.)
