About Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS)

About the role
The Procurement Officer is responsible for assisting with the efficient delivery of the Procurement service including governance, professional advice, support, guidance, training and project administration. You will support procurement projects for SCTS varying in size and value and lead a portfolio of lower risk / value projects across various categories of spend.
Working with and influencing stakeholders you will support the delivery of the Procurement Reform Programme realising identifiable savings, contribute to the wider public sector economic and sustainability agenda and play a key part in delivering a robust procurement service across SCTS.
You will also work in collaboration with partners, e.g. the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS). You may be required, with support, to resolve complex issues when necessary to achieve outcomes providing robust commercial advice and guidance to stakeholders. You may also be required, from time-to-time, to support the management of key SCTS suppliers and contracts.
You will be based in Saughton House, Edinburgh which is accessible by bus, train, and bicycle; it is also on the Edinburgh tram line. Extensive office parking is available on site. A Hybrid Working Policy is in place and you will be expected to be in the office at least 2 days per week with the remainder working from home. The provision to work 5 days per week in the office is available to those who require this. Occasional business travel will be required.
