Summary of Role:
Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Procurement Planner to join their vibrant team at their East Yorkshire manufacturing site. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's next phase of growth! In this hands-on position, you will oversee procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring the company's growth demands are met. Duties:
As a Procurement Planner, you will:

• Plan and manage material requirements to keep production schedules on track
• Maintain precise planning data within the MRP system, monitoring key KPIs like OTIF and inventory turns
• Collaborate with the production manager to create accurate production plans based on material, labour, and equipment availability
• Manage sourcing and purchasing through the ERP/MRP system
• Input B2B sales orders and coordinate closely with sales and finance teams
• Implement contingency plans for supply chain security and risk management
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers for favourable pricing and terms
• analyse internal data to understand demand and supply chain requirements
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock counts with the warehouse team
• Expedite deliveries to minimise impact on manufacturing plans
• Continuously evaluate supplier performance and seek improvement opportunities
• Oversee additional site purchasing and support new product development

Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Be experienced in a Procurement role
• A solid background in Manufacturing Planning
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication abilities
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
• Proficiency in computer literacy, especially Excel
• Knowledge of MRP systems is essential; e-commerce experience is a plus
