Procurement Professional

We are currently looking for a Procurement and Planning Officer to work at our client's Facility in Trafford Park Manchester on a full time permanent basis.

Task & Responsibilities will include but not be restricted to

Planning:
Setting Up Production Schedules
Estimating and allocating accurately and on time production capacities into efficient production campaigns
Activate and validate order releases for production
Establishing and communication planning and allocation ( stock allocation)
Entertain weekly meetings with production/sales with regards to specific planning issues
Following Up claim related demands in production: eg. reproductions

Procurement

Calling off of materials on time and accurate based on the order book and production scheduling
Manage stocks in an accurate manner: avoid too high level of stocks or stock ruptures
Establishing allocations and stocks at supplier in full coordination and agreement of supply chain manager and sales
Regular review of stock qualifications with sales
Establish material requirement planning

Skills/ Knowledge

An understanding of procurement processes, practises and industry trends
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation abilities to secure favourable terms with vendors
Financial acumen
Problem solving, adaptability and ethical judgement
Strong Time Management skills
Knowledge of software tools and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and good time keeping
An ability to make quick decisions under pressure

Hours of work would need to be flexible but core hours would be 08.00 - 16.00 Mon to Thus and Fri 08.00 - 15.00
