Procurement Purchasing Manager required for my client who work within the automotive and manufacturing industry, based in Peterborough.

The company are looking for a purchasing manager that can manager supplier relationships to ensure the acquisition of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.

The successful candidate will drive cost savings, improve supplier performance and support the company's growth and innovation objectives.

Procurement Purchasing Manager Job Overview

* Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
* Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, both domestic and international, to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
* Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
* Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and supply reliability.
* Lead, mentor and develop a small purchasing team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and ethical standards.
* Collaborate with engineering, production and other departments to support new product development and other projects.

Procurement Purchasing Manager Job Requirements

* Strong experience in purchasing, procurement and ideally within the automotive manufacturing or engineering industry.
* Proven track record of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation and cost management.
* Proficiency in procurement and purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Based within a commutable distance of Peterborough.

Procurement Purchasing Manager Salary & Benefits

* Salary - £35,000 to £40,000 - dependent upon experience, skill and qualifications.
* 42.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday position.
* Holiday package - 28 days including bank holidays.
