InstaStaff are currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to join a manufacturing company in Aston.
My client is a leader in their field, and you will report to the Purchasing and Operations Director. The role of the Procurement Specialist is to take responsibility for purchasing strategy, ordering materials and components, and working with vendors to ensure timely deliveries to the company’s production sites whilst maintaining stock cost control and inventory levels.
This is a full-time office based role.
The duties of the Procurement Specialist will include:
Ensuring stock levels are optimised against product sales, production requirements and warehouse capacity. Raising purchase orders and validate supplier invoices. Providing feedback to the wider business on pricing and changes that need to be incorporated to final product costings. Building and maintaining good working relationships with suppliers Monitoring the status of orders and resolve any outstanding deliveries and/or invoices Maintaining the approved supplier and product database and assist with the risk assessment of suppliers. Monitoring and assist in maintaining competitive costs by negotiation and re sourcing. Maintaining the companies IT Procurement database. Creating analysis and forecast reports in order to supply possible procurement trends Cross functional collaboration: partnering with other internal departments to help identify business needs. Attending supplier meetings. The ideal Procurement Specialist will have:
A proven track record of procurement and excellent knowledge of Purchasing and Supply processes. The ability to understand and manage an extensive range of SKUs. A Full Driving Licence The ability and be willing to travel both within the UK and abroad if required CIPS qualification an advantage The salary for the Procurement Specialist will be £51,000 plus a yearly discretionary bonus

Hours of work for the Procurement Specialist will be Monday – Friday 37.7 hours per week Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
