Whisper is looking for an experienced Live Gallery Producer with all-rounder skills to bring to our growing sports slate.

This role will be responsible for creative planning, writing running orders and producing all our esports events at Whisper, with an ability to cross over to work on our other sports properties. These could include Formula E, Wimbledon, Roland-Garros, EA Content,

Prem Rugby and more.

Working in our esports department alongside our executive producer and production team, this role will involve leadership on all elements of production from set design, promos, feature VTs,

editorial running orders and delivery.

Beyond the esport’s responsibilities, we are also looking for a candidate who can hold their own in directing shoots, edit producing, and working onsite at large-scale sports events.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Work in an editorial leadership role to help plan and execute coverage of Whisper’s esports events.


• Crew production teams using a strong freelance network and an understanding of the production talent within Whisper.


• Live gallery production of esports and broader sports programming.


• Writing creative and engaging running orders with a high degree of accuracy on timings and detail


• Develop and work with the production team to deliver creative concepts including features, promos, title sequences, and studio moments.


• Leading a team of producers and assistant producers to develop a well-rounded team around event delivery.


• Help to devise a production schedule, and rota staff to deliver a large amount of programming and shoulder content.

• Working closely with on-screen talent to build strong production relationships.


• Be a responsible member of the team, with an appreciation of the end-to-end production


• Work closely with production management to understand the budget and lead on Health & Safety and risk assessments


• Ensure all content is of a first-class standard, thoroughly researched and factually correct


• Work effectively with other departments, clients, and partners (both internal and external), maintaining Whisper’s excellent relationships and communication

• Ensure that the output complies with Whisper’s editorial, technical, design and accessibility standards, whilst always working to the company’s Health and Safety policy.

• Uphold that the output complies with Whisper’s editorial, technical, design and accessibility standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience producing busy, informative, and entertaining sport shows


• Experience leading a small production team delivering season-long programming.


• Experience of gallery workflows and production


• Experience of writing running orders and an understanding of the requirement for accuracy and attention to detail.


• Ability to write clear and concise scripts


• Experience producing an on-screen presentation team, and developing relationships across a season to create the best programming


• Ability to spot a good story, devise and develop strong creative ideas


• Understanding of the edit process and the ability to drive standards and deliver feedback.


• Strong knowledge of Whisper’s editorial guidelines and compliance policies, or awillingness to establish this quickly


• Experience with complex workloads, consistently prioritising and delivering to deadlines, reacting positively to changes and conflicts


• Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skill


• A demonstrable level of creativity with the ability to bring a fresh new approach to creating engaging and evolving output


• A broad knowledge and passion for sport is required and an interest in esports would be an advantage

Location:

Kew, London.

Working Days:

5 day week, x4 days in office and x1 day WFH.

Schedule may vary based on production requirement.

Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week

The role will include weekend working and hours to meet the needs of the productions. 

Role will include travel abroad and some events in the UK

(subject to agreed schedule with Executive Producer).

Requirement to be in base (Kew Studios office) outside of live events.

Whisper offers the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.

Monday October 19th on a 12-month FTC
