About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Product Application Engineer to join our team, with a focus on supporting the introduction, application, and performance optimisation of explosive products — particularly bulk emulsion — in the field. This is a technically challenging and rewarding role that combines fieldwork, product performance monitoring, and process innovation. You'll be working at the intersection of engineering, R&D, and operations, leveraging advanced telemetry systems to monitor manufacturing performance and contribute to continuous product and process improvements. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-field analysis of explosive product performance, identifying non-conformities and contributing to technical improvements.
Manage QA/QC systems related to the mobile manufacturing of explosives; analyse process data and investigate abnormalities.
Provide technical support and training to operations teams on best practices for product application and implementation.
Ensure all activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Support innovation by conducting research and contributing to the development of new processes and formulations.
Collaborate with engineering, lab, production, and quality teams to drive efficient, high-performance operations.
Utilise data analysis tools and produce detailed technical reports and recommendations.
What We’re Looking For:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, or a relevant technical environment.
Hands-on familiarity with chemical process equipment, instrumentation, and QA/QC systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of thermodynamics, material science, and environmental sustainability practices.
Ability to interpret technical data and use digital tools (including interest in AI applications) to improve processes.
Team-oriented with a proactive approach to innovation and continuous improvement.
Why Join Us? You’ll be part of a forward-thinking organisation committed to safety, innovation, and operational excellence. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for chemical engineering and field-based application to shape the performance of products that truly make an impact.
