We’re recruiting on behalf of a market leader in the design and manufacture of sensor systems, positioning systems, and BLDC servo drives. Their products are used globally in industries ranging from security and surveillance to robotics and automation.

They are looking for a Product Applications Engineer to join their growing team in Woking.
?? The Role This is a customer-facing, technically hands-on role, perfect for someone with a background in engineering, technical support, or product applications. You’ll be the go-to person for technical support on their core products and will help shape new applications, gather feedback from the field, and influence future product development.
??? Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers for Overview’s product range (sensor systems, servo drives, positioning systems).
• Assist in the development and testing of new product applications.
• Collaborate with R&D and QA teams to feed back product insights and improvements.
• Support the Business Development team with demonstrations and technical input.
• Contribute to technical documentation and product collateral.

? What We’re Looking For

• Experience working within engineering, technical support, or product applications.
• Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, drives, or sensor-based technologies.
• Comfortable in a customer-facing capacity – able to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, events, or trade shows (UK and overseas).

? Desirable (But Not Essential)

• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
• Exposure to communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Modbus, Ethernet).
• Interest in sectors such as surveillance, robotics, or automation.
