Job Description - Product Design

Product Designer
Salary up to £30,000
Flexi time - Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:15pm, Friday, 8:30am – 4pm
Andover (1 day remote)

Are you an enthusiastic Product Designer looking to start or take the next step in your career by joining a rapidly growing manufacturing company? Our client is well-established and is seeking a Product Designer who is passionate about designing and creating new products.

The successful Product Design will be responsible for researching product categories, creating intelligent solutions to everyday problems, and delivering commercially viable designs from concept through to implementation.

Job Description

Produce and create product designs from concept through to implementation of finished items, working to a brief or own initiative.
Responsible for all aspects of the design including engineering, prototyping, evaluation, and initial testing regimes.
Monitoring project milestones to meet scheduled launch dates using Smartsheet software in conjunction with Product management.
Input into the packaging and merchandising of the products, creation of installation instructions.
Liaising with suppliers, internal and external customers and Croydex overseas personnel in the Far East during the design phase of the project.
Analysis and diagnosis of product failures in the field.

Product Design
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Experience using Solidworks
Bulk is design from scratch, concept and mods to old designs to make new ones
Seeing, develop and take it through to production
Strong administration skills
Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign).
