About the Company

An established business specialising in product design and development is looking for a Product Design Engineer to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of innovative products, taking designs from initial concepts through to manufacture.

The Role

*

Develop new products from concept through to manufacture

*

Produce 3D models and technical drawings using 3D CAD

*

Design plastic components, housings and mechanical assemblies

*

Support prototyping, testing and product development activities

*

Consider materials, manufacturing processes and production costs

*

Work closely with internal teams and external manufacturers

*

Improve existing products through design modifications

Requirements

*

Experience in mechanical engineering or product design

*

Confident using 3D CAD modelling and design software (e.g. Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.)

*

Understanding of plastics and injection moulding processes

*

Experience developing products from concept through manufacture

*

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection

*

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

*

Consumer product design experience would be advantageous
