Job DescriptionA 100% work-from-home job working with Toys, with no commuting costs? Pfft - Yes please. THE COMPANYIf you’re looking for a role where there’s a strong focus on trend-led NPD, and you’re a creative person that’s passionate about Toys, this is the role for you. Be bold and creative with the support of a fab Head of Buying who’s got your back as you develop fantastic new Toys, Games, and Craft products for kids of all ages. This toy brand produces a wide range of products across Plush, Impulse / Pocket Money, Wooden, Outdoor, Craft Kits and more and are sold around the world. They’re a wonderful team with a relaxed non-corporate culture headed up by owners who are incredibly passionate about the Toy market and the joy their products bring to others. Everyone in the business is fully remote, meaning this role is 100% work-from-home and you can be based anywhere in the UK. The team meets up every 6-8 weeks or so, and all travel is expensed – fabulous.THE ROLEThis role is all about NPD, being trend-aware and on top of the latest crazes sweeping the playground – you will work as part of the wider Product team and be responsible for creating new products for your categoryDelivering new products on time and to budget, following the critical path and working with suppliers in the UK, EU and Far East to ensure they meet key milestonesManaging multiple projects from initial brief through to sampling and to productionPresenting your new product proposals to directors for sign-off and investmentSourcing and negotiating with suppliers in the UK, EU and FEContinuously improving the range, re-developing and updating existing products, and keeping an eye on competitor new releasesWorking in partnership with Design, Marketing, and Quality Assurance TeamsBriefing designers on your ideas by creating briefs for suppliers, designers, and factoriesAttending trade fairs in the EU and overseas and supplier visits in the EU and Far EastCompleting comp shopping tripsWorking closely with an Assistant Buyer / Product DeveloperABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role you will need to have some experience within a Toy-related category in a Product Development focused role either as a Buyer, Product Developer, Import Merchandiser, or a very commercially-minded Designer with experience sourcing, costing and negotiating product. The role is open to candidates from Assistant to Senior level as the role can be adapted to suit your experience and knowledge in the industry.THE REWARDYou will receive a salary of between £30,000 - £45,000 (Depending on Experience). The biggest benefit is that the team is fully remote, meaning this role is 100% work-from-home and you can be based anywhere in the UK. The team meets up every 6-8 weeks or so, and all travel is expensed – another fabulous benefit. Other benefits include 25 days holiday.
