Product Development Admin Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Product Development Admin Manager to join a fast-paced and commercially driven product development team.

You will be responsible for leading a Product Development Administration team based in China, ensuring the function operates with accuracy, efficiency and consistency. You will oversee product specifications, documentation and administrative workflows that support the full product development process.

Working closely with Product Specialists, Design, Quality Assurance, Licensing, Merchandising and international manufacturing partners, you will help ensure products progress smoothly through each stage of development, with accurate information, timely updates and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the Product Development Administration team based in China, ensuring clear priorities, high performance and consistent output.

* Oversee product specifications, ensuring information is accurate, complete and aligned with product requirements.

* Work closely with Product Specialists to ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.

* Review and improve product development processes, documentation and workflows.

* Coordinate with international factories regarding samples, specification updates and development timelines.

* Ensure all product development documentation is accurate, up to date and easily accessible, including BOMs, specification sheets, packaging details and component information.

* Maintain effective communication between UK teams, China-based teams and international suppliers.

* Monitor workflows and deadlines to ensure products progress efficiently through the development cycle.

* Identify administrative risks, gaps and inefficiencies and implement practical solutions.

* Establish and champion best practice across the Product Development Administration function.

* Support cross-functional teams to ensure product development activity remains organised, accurate and commercially focused.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

* Fluent Mandarin language skills – essential.

* Previous experience within Product Development Administration, Product Operations, Buying Support or a similar product-focused environment.

* Proven experience managing or leading a team, ideally working across different countries or time zones.

* Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

* The ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

* Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers and internal stakeholders.

* An understanding of product specifications, manufacturing processes and product development workflows.

* A proactive approach with a genuine interest in improving processes and efficiency.

* The ability to build effective working relationships with both UK and China-based teams.
