Product Development Associate

We are recruiting for a new product position within a leading international asset management organisation. This position plays a key part in shaping and delivering client-centric, innovative investment products across public and private markets, supporting long-term growth and commercial success.

The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will project manage new product launches and enhancements, contribute to governance and approval processes, and act as a central point of contact for product-related queries. You will also analyse competitor and market trends, use third-party research to inform product design, and support responses to regulatory change (including UCITS, AIFMD and MiFID II).

This opportunity would suit a commercially minded professional with around 2+ years’ experience in product development or a related role within asset management, consulting or financial services. Strong stakeholder management, project management skills and an interest in regulation and fund structures are essential.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs in relation to product strategy, development and management; coordinate third party research into customer insights where necessary and/or liaise with sales to obtain direct client feedback.
• Coordinate relevant product strategy and development initiatives across all asset classes (public & private market equity and credit, real estate and infrastructure) and all functions including manufacturing, distribution and operational infrastructure via strong project and stakeholder management.
• Coordinate distribution and corporate strategy analysis projects, including the creation of business cases to be presented to senior management for consideration.
• Act as a point of contact for issues and queries relating to products and the product development process. Work with all areas of the business to help resolve product related issues.
• Assist in maintaining the product development pipeline and deliver, on time and on budget, approved product-related initiatives.
• Manage product launches and other related product projects. Support team members in their delivery of change initiatives.

Required Experience

• Likely to have 2+ years’ industry background (preferably Product Development or related), in order to demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary. Other experience backgrounds within asset management and business / investment consulting providing relevant transferable skills / knowledge will also be considered.
• Project management skills
• Familiarity with UCITS, AIFMD and MiFID II regulation.
• A strong entrepreneurial outlook – self-starting with ability to show initiative and a desire to drive tasks through to completion in timely manner.
• Strong planning and organisation skills and high attention to detail.
