Product Manager – Gifting & Consumer Products

Are you a creative and commercially minded Product Manager with a passion for developing products that customers love?

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to join History & Heraldry, a global leader in innovative gifting and lifestyle products.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking a product from an initial idea right through to the retail shelf, combining creativity, commercial awareness and hands-on product development.

You'll work closely with our Product Director, talented design team and international product development colleagues to bring exciting new gift ranges to market.

About Us

History & Heraldry is part of the H&H Group, a global innovator of gifting and lifestyle brands.

Based in Rotherham, we're a design-led business and one of the world's leading suppliers of impulse-buy gifts. Our products are creative, innovative, often quirky and always designed to make an impact.

From personalised gifts to sentiment-led collections, we're passionate about creating products that stand out and appeal to customers around the world.

The Role

As Product Manager, you'll take ownership of assigned product development projects, managing the entire journey from initial concept and design through to manufacturing, launch and ongoing range development.

You'll combine an eye for design with strong commercial judgement, ensuring our products are innovative, commercially viable, manufactured to the highest standards and delivered on time.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Researching retail trends, customer preferences, competitor products and sales performance to identify new opportunities.

* Working with the Product Director and designers to develop original gift concepts and detailed product briefs.

* Managing multiple product development projects from concept through to launch.

* Liaising closely with our Far East product development team regarding materials, manufacturing processes, product finishes and feasibility.

* Reviewing product and packaging samples, providing constructive feedback and coordinating amendments and approvals.

* Managing product costings, target prices and margins to ensure commercial viability.

* Working with the Compliance Manager to ensure products meet relevant safety, testing and labelling requirements.

* Maintaining accurate product specifications, development schedules, costing information and approval records.

* Creating engaging product presentations and supporting sales and marketing teams with product launches and trade shows.

* Monitoring product performance following launch and identifying opportunities for improvement or further development.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines creativity with a practical, commercial approach to product development.

You'll ideally have:

* Proven experience in product management or product development within physical consumer products.

* Experience taking products from initial concept through to manufacturing and successful launch.

* A creative mindset with a strong eye for design, detail and customer appeal.

* Good commercial awareness, including an understanding of product costs, pricing and profit margins.

* Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers and product development teams.

* Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.

* Confidence reviewing samples, materials, finishes and product specifications.

* Strong Excel skills, particularly for costings, analysis and project tracking.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with designers, sales teams and international colleagues.

* A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership of projects.

It would be particularly advantageous if you have:

* Experience within gifting, homeware, toys, accessories or other design-led consumer products.

* Experience working with overseas manufacturers, particularly in the Far East.

* Knowledge of retail packaging, displays, product testing or compliance requirements.

Why Join History & Heraldry?

This is an opportunity to join an established, creative and internationally recognised business where your ideas can make a real difference.

You'll have the chance to:

* Develop innovative products that are sold in markets around the world.

* Work alongside an experienced and talented creative team.

* Take genuine ownership of products from initial concept to launch.

* Work across a varied and interesting portfolio of gifting and lifestyle products.

* See your ideas come to life and reach customers on the retail shelf.

If you're an experienced Product Manager who loves creating exciting consumer products and enjoys combining creativity with commercial thinking, we'd love to hear from you
