Job Description - Product Manager

£70,000 -£80, 000 Plus Extensive Benefits - Hybrid

I’m hiring an experienced

Platform Product Manager

for my client, an innovative, high growth, satellite earth observation company specialising in remote sensing, earth observation, and thermal imagery products & services. This thriving scale up business has recently launched its first ground breaking satellite, using their own cutting edge technology to provide advanced analytics and across industry sectors such as climate & environment, defence & intelligence, NetZero initiatives, financial markets, ESG, insurance, industrial monitoring and supply chain analysis. You will be responsible for building and executing the strategy for data
ordering and delivery, permissions, restrictions, and user management. You will
drive the product discovery for new and existing features, and work closely with
engineers, the product designer, and commercial and marketing teams to have an
immediate impact on internal and external stakeholders’ experience.

Areas of responsibility
• Lead an Agile development team including facilitating agile ceremonies
such as team stand-ups, sprint and quarterly planning, and feature
demonstrations.
• Lead the product lifecycle process from hypotheses to launch.
• Build and maintain a roadmap for constant improvement, support, and
maintenance of the Platform API, SDK, and the web app.
• Work closely with the Marketing and the Commercial teams to discover
customer needs and ensure the Platform provides excellent user
experience to existing and new customers.
• Proactively engage with other teams to ensure development dependencies
outside your direct control are coordinated effectively.
• Contribute to the enterprise vision, engineering processes, and company
roadmap overall.

What you bring
• 3-5+ years of experience in a multi-functional Product development team.
• Demonstrated success in launching innovative, customer-centric products
and capabilities in a fast-paced, software-centred, technology-driven
environment.
• Knowledge and experience with establishing and running Agile product
management processes within a team and across the organisation.
• Familiarity with APIs, RESTful services and their design, documentation, and
use.
• Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving product
excellence, customer satisfaction, and business value.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, ability to lead by
influence, engage stakeholders, and drive accountability across the
organisation.

Desirable skills
• Familiarity with Software as a Service and Service Oriented Architectures.
• Understanding of the CI/CD practices.
• Experience with earth observation imagery as well as geographic
information systems.

Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good knowledge of NIST cyber security framework, or other similar
internationally recognised frameworks
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, logic, and forensics skills
• Ability to work successfully in both individual and team settings
• Ability to think like a hacker in order to stay one step ahead
