Job Description - Product Manager

Our mission is to unlock the full potential of payment cards. We offer a suite of financial infrastructure APIs that enable developers and organisations to build programmable experiences connected to purchases made in real-time using a payment card. Our tools are transforming how merchants and users interact by powering real-time, event-driven engagements in the loyalty vertical.

Our APIs are used by start-ups through global enterprises and are supported by the world’s largest card networks, such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

What does your day to day look like?

  • You'll work closely with Engineering, Design, and all GTM functions, while embodying a customer-centric approach, developing empathy for users, leveraging data-driven insights, and understanding the competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Be accountable for product development, validation, prioritisation, quality metrics, planning, and go-to-market product operations, fostering a strong sense of ownership related to the platform's user experience.
  • Responsible for product strategy, mapping high-level user stories, and refining use-case level user stories and roadmaps for product engineering readiness
  • Collect feedback from Customers, Sales, CX, Engineering, Design, and Support Teams, ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are considered in product design and development
  • Foster a data-driven culture, empowering the team and stakeholders to make well-informed decisions based on user feedback, industry trends, and competitive landscape insights
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of company-wide processes, strategies, improved culture, and values, while emphasising collaboration, communication, influence, and embodying core values
  • Ensure high-quality product delivery, using an iterative approach with a bias towards learning quickly, testing key assumptions, and actively mitigating risks in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Ship the whole experience by gathering requirements, defining functionality, setting clear goals, and ensuring lateral impacts are planned for and aligned with stakeholders.
  • Set and adhere to measurable goals, synthesise new opportunities for the future, and influence the implementation of business-wide strategy relating to product domains.
  • Define and work towards a clear roadmap of prioritised features and initiatives that align with the product vision and strategy, considering diverse inputs and perspectives within the matrix management model.

Our way of working:

We're a distributed team, with the primary engineering teams in Portugal and UK. Our wider team are on most continents of the world. Your day to day team will be based in a European timezone (GMT +/- 2h). Our working language is English.

This role is primarily remote, with occassional travel/office visits.

You'll be joining an existing engineering team that know the product well. We're filling this role as our loved Product Manager has found an awesome role in a different industry that she couldn't pass by. We told her we couldn't accept her resignationm but we kind of had to.
