Job Description - Product Manager - Digital Solutions

Job Description

Radiodetection is seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Solutions Product Manager to lead our digital strategy across all product portfolios. This role involves end-to-end ownership of product lines, including both current product/portfolio lifecycle management and new product development. The Product Manager will define the product vision and strategy to ensure alignment with the company’s overall goals.

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of operating at an executive level within the utility market. The role is offered on a remote basis, but there is an expectation to spend time in the Bristol office and travel internationally.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Digital Strategy Development:

Understand the critical role of digital solutions in delivering best-in-class end-to-end solutions.
- Segmentation Strategy:

Create detailed segmentation strategies based on customer problems and industry challenges.
- Product Roadmap and Collaboration:

Partner with hardware product teams to build product roadmaps integrated into the company’s digital product portfolio plan. Work with relevant departments to develop and execute the New Product Introduction process.
- Executive Relationships and Presentations:

Develop and maintain critical relationships at the executive level with key customers. Develop and present executive-level presentations to key customers.
- Third-Party and Marketing Relationships:

Nurture relationships with third-party developers. Work with the marketing team to develop compelling collateral and campaigns for existing and new products.
- Value Proposition and Marketing:

Create compelling value propositions and customer-centric content marketing for the product line.
- Research and Development:

Research opportunities to create product specifications, roadmaps, and business cases.
- Sales Success Monitoring and Strategy Development : Ensure continued sales success of product lines by monitoring profitability, volumes, and discounts, taking appropriate actions as needed. Collaborate with the sales organisation to create and deliver regional strategies, messaging, and value propositions to achieve regional goals.
- Management Collaboration : Build strong working relationships with the management team to influence product and commercial development direction.

Knowledge, Skills & Key Touch Points:
- Marketing Strategy and Customer Orientation:

Ability to align marketing efforts with business strategy and ensure capability to succeed in the market.
- Customer Insights and Experience:

Understand customer needs and expectations, enhance the customer journey, and support with relevant content.
- Brand & Value Segmentation:

Develop strategies to convey product/service value, tailored by customer or segment.
- Data & Measurement:

Understand technical concepts and present commercial opportunities.
- Communication:

Confident communicator, effective across various roles and levels
- Business Finance Understanding : Knowledge of investment appraisal and product profitability.

Education and Experience:
- Degree qualified or equivalent relevant experience.
- Significant relevant commercial experience ideally in the utility marketplace.
- Experience in product lifecycle management and new product development, including successful market introduction.
- Experience working with international markets.
