Production Accountant

KennedyPearce are working with a vibrant and fast-growing company specialising in post-production accounting, working with a variety of major studios, streamers, and independent producers. This role is based full time in the office and we are looking to speak with dynamic candidates passionate about the industry. The Assistant (post) Production Accountant will support finance operations across multiple projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and an interest in expanding their knowledge of production and post-production accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Entering Purchase Orders and Accounts Payable transactions using PSL, SmartAccounting, or Eclipse
• Managing digital filing systems
• Processing purchase orders
• Posting journal entries in accounting systems
• Running payrolls and processing timecards
• Assisting with VAT returns and completion of ONS Surveys
• Performing payment runs via online banking systems
• Tracking and updating project tasks via Microsoft Teams
• Working dynamically across multiple post-production projects, providing real-time updates and insights as needed

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in the media, entertainment, production, or post-production finance sector is highly desirable
• Solid bookkeeping skills and familiarity with management accounting
• Confident with Excel and comfortable working with double-entry bookkeeping
• Clear and effective communicator - able to engage with external suppliers, clients, and internal teams
• Proactive problem solver, capable of managing multiple projects
