Platinum Personnel are recruiting experienced Production Assemblers / Mechanical Fitters on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client based in Coalville.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter or Assembler to join a busy manufacturing environment, working as part of a skilled production team building specialist heavy engineering equipment.

Starting Salary: £31,669 per annum.

Hours: 37 hours per week.

Overtime: Optional overtime available.

Monday – Thursday: 06:00am – 14:30pm.

Friday: 06:00am – 11:00am.

The Role – Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Mechanical fitting and assembly of heavy engineering equipment.

Working within a busy production and manufacturing environment.

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Working to production targets and deadlines.

Safe handling and movement of production components.

Using a variety of hand and power tools.

Maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Essential Skills & Experience

To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

Previous experience in mechanical fitting and assembly.

Experience fitting hydraulic systems.

Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience using hand and powered tools.

Knowledge of overhead and jib cranes.

Good mechanical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills.

Experience working to tight tolerances, limits and fits.

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S.
