Summary

This role will offer a great opportunity to someone who is looking to start a career in the fashion industry. The In-House Production Assistant will be responsible for all production administration that supports the team in the production of high-quality garments.

Responsibilities

• Various administrative tasks including, preparing templates and photos for the planner

• Fill in fabric on-floor dates from factory reports

• Chase bulk fabric submissions for approval, in line with Critical Path requirements

• Request estimated time of dispatch and arrival for fabrics from the mills

• Enter fabric shipping information (invoice date/ bill of landing) on the critical path

• Email fabric documentation to factories and file on the system

• Assess fabric submissions, sending swatches to the factory, follow on dye batches and roll strips

• Support with the filing and coordination of trim cards

• Arrange couriers to ensure packages arrive at their given destination timely

• Update fabric stocks

• Follow and file test reports

• Help to coordinate fit samples

• Chase production samples to ensure compliance with the critical path

Requirements:

• Excellent planning and organisational skills

• High levels of numeracy (GCSE maths levels 7 or above)

• Basic to intermediate MS Excel user

• Highly analytical and logical thinker

• High levels of attention to detail
