Permanent | Part-time: 0.5 FTE / 2.5 days per week

Workplace: Belfast (this is an on-site role and not suitable for hybrid working)

You will be part of the programmes team in Belfast, which makes more than one hundred hours of shows a year across a range of formats from political discussion to documentaries, chat shows and much more. As Production Coordinator in Programmes, you will provide organisational and administrative support to schedule resources and facilities to meet deadlines. You will be involved in shows from the concept phase all the way through to final delivery, and you will be expected to take a proactive approach to supporting the smooth running of the department. You will also assist the production process on the day of recording/transmission. This may include autocue, studio cameras, floor management, sound, programme timing or vision.  The role will occasionally cover later shifts when we are recording our programmes after the 6 pm news.

You’ll be a team player who can learn quickly and can prioritise your workload.  You must be willing and have the aptitude to develop new skills (with appropriate training) and to move between different duties on a daily basis as the needs of a busy and vibrant news operation require.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination of production and completion of administrative support for the UTV programmes department 
• Gallery operation and the ability to multi-skill, shifting seamlessly from one duty to another if necessary.
• Booking filming logistics, including camera operators and editors, plus tracking and monitoring so production follows a planned schedule
• Arranging travel and accommodation
• Post programme paperwork, including for music cue sheets and 3rd party material;
• Liaising with producers to ensure delivery of promos, billings, synopses and subtitles by deadline;
• Assisting teams to achieve Albert Accreditation;
• Providing support to the team in the form of research, transcribing and sourcing props/filming locations.
• Processing programme-related payments through Procurement, Expenses & Talent Payment systems;
• Media Management
• Deal with sensitive content, liaising with third-party organisations and other parts of ITV

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

• Technical proficiency with digital software, including Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides) and standard office technologies.
• Proven experience in administrative coordination, workflow management, and prioritising operational tasks.
• Demonstrated track record of handling complex administrative queries, issue resolution, and applying sound judgement independently.
