This role combines detailed design for manufacture with support for sales tenders. You’ll work closely with Sales, Project Coordination and Manufacturing teams to turn customer briefs into practical designs and accurate information for the factory. Working hours Monday to Friday 08:00am - 17:00 OR 07:00am - 16:00pm What you’ll do Create production-ready SolidWorks models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings. Prepare manufacturing packs with dimensions, specifications, material details and bills of materials. Work with Production, CNC Programming and Procurement to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to manufacture. Resolve technical queries during production and help keep projects on schedule. Produce tender drawings, furniture layouts and presentation visuals for quotations. Interpret client briefs, mood boards and concepts, balancing design intent with budget and manufacturing requirements. Contribute to product development, value engineering and process improvements. What you’ll need Proven SolidWorks experience (essential) . Experience producing accurate manufacturing drawings in a production design, furniture design, technical design or design engineering role. A practical understanding of manufacturing processes and strong attention to detail. The ability to manage several projects and communicate clearly with different teams. Good Microsoft Office skills. Experience with SWOOD would be particularly valuable. Experience in contract furniture, joinery, upholstery, metal fabrication, CNC processes, commercial interiors or hospitality fit-out would also be an advantage, as would SketchUp or Blender skills.
