Salary: £35,000–£38,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits

We’re expanding our Production Support Team with the appointment of a Production Engineer, reporting to the Head of Manufacturing.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create CNC programs using Hypermill CAD/CAM and assist with CNC machine programming
• Liaise with tooling suppliers and machinists to ensure optimal tooling is in use
• Design and develop jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency
• Review and optimise component routings for productivity
• Analyse and improve production processes to reduce waste and increase output
• Deliver training for machine setup and operation and support apprentices
• Source and assess capable subcontractors from a machining and quality standpoint
• Support layout planning, maintenance schedules, and risk assessments
• Liaise with subcontractors and assist in supplier development and expediting
• Support Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean projects
• Provide cover on critical machines during absences
• Travel off-site to suppliers and subcontractors when required
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline process interfaces
