Production Line Operative - South Birmingham Area (Near Quinton / Northfield)
Pay: £12.21 per hour + generous overtime + £25 weekly bonus
Type: Temporary to Permanent
Shifts: Rotating weekly - 06:00-16:00 / 16:00-02:00 (Monday to Friday)

Are you an experienced Production Line Operative looking for a long-term opportunity in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment? Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global supplier in the automotive industry, based in South Birmingham.

What's on offer:

" Competitive starting rate of £12.21 per hour
" 2 hours of compulsory daily overtime, paid at enhanced rates:
o Time + 1/3 (AM shift)
o Time + 1/2 (PM shift)
" £25 weekly attendance bonus (on completion of mandatory overtime)
" Time + 1/2 for additional overtime beyond 40 hours
" Double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays

Key responsibilities:

" Working on a fast-paced automated assembly line
" Operating industrial equipment (e.g. press machines, CNC, laser welders)
" Using hand tools including power drills, glue guns and pop rivet guns
" Working to build targets while ensuring high levels of quality
" Reading and working from basic technical drawings
" Quality inspection and attention to detail are essential

What we're looking for:

" At least 12 months of experience in a production or assembly line role
" Comfortable with physically demanding, target-driven work
" Confident using hand tools and operating manufacturing machinery
" Experience in automotive manufacturing and knowledge of 5S principles (advantageous)
" Must pass a clean drug and alcohol test
