We’re looking for a reliable and practical Production Machinery Operative / Relief Warehouse Operative to join an established business in Basildon. This is a varied role combining spiral tube production, machine operation, warehouse duties and stock control. You’ll play an important part in ensuring products are manufactured to a high standard and customer orders are accurately prepared and dispatched.
* Operating the Spiral Tube Forming Machine to produce quality products to specification.
* Carrying out routine machine checks, cleaning and basic maintenance.
* Monitoring raw materials and finished stock levels.
* Reporting machine faults, damage or maintenance requirements.
* Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
* Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
* Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
* Maintaining accurate stock records and stock rotation.
* Using forklift trucks and pallet trucks as required.
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse.
* Supporting wider branch operations when required.
* Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
We’re looking for someone with:
* Previous manufacturing, machine operation or production experience.
* Warehouse, stores or logistics experience.
* Counterbalance forklift experience and a current licence.
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Experience with stock control, picking, packing and dispatch.
* The ability to carry out basic equipment checks and identify faults.
* A strong understanding of Health & Safety and PPE requirements.
* The ability to safely handle goods weighing up to 25kg.
* A reliable, flexible and positive approach to work.
Experience with spiral forming machinery, Reach forklifts, warehouse systems, trade counters or HVAC/ducting products would be an advantage.
