The company
Nigel Wright are currently working with an organisation that are looking to recruit a Production Manager. Offering a premium product, built on heritage, they pride themselves on supplying the best, and working with the best.

The role
This role would suit an organised and experienced Production Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the production facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company passionate about crafting high-quality products for the customer. Key responsibilities include:

Plan, install, and supervise production processes to improve efficiency and manage costs.
Manage production schedules to meet demand, minimise downtime, and ensure timely order fulfilment across a diverse product range, considering allergen management.
Lead, train, and motivate the production team, including performance management.
Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with NPD and Technical teams to introduce new products and refine existing recipes.
Assist with inventory management of raw materials and packaging supplies.
Work with NPD to identify new product opportunities using existing processes and equipment.
Produce product samples with detailed breakdowns of recipes, costs, and production methods, including any additional equipment or costs required.
Participate in NPD and seasonal planning meetings, contributing ideas and suggestions for upcoming product lines.

The person
We are looking for someone who has:

Experience working in food manufacturing - ideally artisan or small batch production
Strong leadership and management skills
Knowledge and appreciation of food safety standards, quality and compliance
