Salary: Circa £50,000 

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm

As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and help shape the future of the site.

The Role

As Production Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of production, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and performance targets are consistently achieved. You’ll lead and develop a skilled team, improve operational efficiency, and work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Planning to keep production running smoothly.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, motivating teams, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and support production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives

· Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures

· Improve operational efficiency through effective planning, workflow optimisation, and resource management

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and waste reduction activities

· Monitor production performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership

· Work collaboratively with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve production issues and maintain robust process control

· Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-first culture across the shop floor

· Support employee training, development, and performance management initiatives

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and approachable leader who can bring energy, structure, and strong operational experience to the team.

You’ll ideally have:

· Previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Senior Supervisor within aerospace, precision engineering, or a similar regulated manufacturing environment

· Surface treatments experience would be advantageous

· Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, or other regulated industry standards

· Experience delivering process improvements and driving operational performance

· Strong people management and team leadership skills

· A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels

· A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

· Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies
