The Production Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the people and processes ensuring the achievement of manufacturing goals related to quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
Candidates will be required to have an

Engineering/Manufacturing

Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Experience and knowledge of working with different materials of construction (cast iron/stainless steel/mild steel/aluminium) is essential along with knowledge and experience of supplying equipment and solutions to the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, power and energy sectors etc, and the expectations and standards required
If you have previously worked with materials handling equipment for dry loose bulk solids and powder materials (rotary valves and airlocks, diverters, slide and control valves), then this would be a great advantage.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of production management within a machine

shop/fabrication/welding

environment. Along with this you will need demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and developing a team.
MAIN DUTIES OF JOB:
manufacturing activities for the timely execution of contracts
manufacturing and production processes within a busy machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly environment
Assisting with ‘Quality’ and ‘Health & Safety’ implementation, including the establishment and implementation of safe systems of work, risk assessments and method statements related to all aspects of production activities
Monitoring all productivity levels and output standards and quality control requirements
Ensuring KPI’s are monitored, recorded, and reported to Leadership Team.
Providing advice to the Drawing Office team in the production of detail drawings, as required, together with pre-production checking
Maintaining and implementing of all the company’s procedures, good working practices and policies, including health and safety, environment, and ISO 9001:2015 quality

requirements/expectations
Managing and coordinating the raising of bills of material and purchase requisitions for materials, parts, and equipment, whilst liaising closely with the Sales and Drawing Office Teams
Creating and executing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production schedules
developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with and between all departments
with Sales Team to ensure client requirements are met and appropriate engineering specifications complied with
compliance with regulatory requirements and processes (eg. ATEX) in accordance with project requirements
ownership and conformance of project specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), including production of technical documentation, as required
operational issues and development of new production processes and methods
and implementing an equipment maintenance program in association with the maintenance team to ensure continued production.
Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
Recruiting, supervising, motivating, and developing production staff. Keeping up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication, verbal, and written skills, along with the ability to quickly establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
