Modus Careers is seeking a talented Production Manager to join our esteemed client, a leading manufacturer based in Letchworth. About the Role:
As the Production Manager, you will be at the heart of our client's operations, overseeing the entire production process from manufacturing and print to despatch. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead the factory operations, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of products. With a team of 35 full-time employees and up to 20 temporary staff during peak seasons, you will be the driving force behind maintaining high standards and meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
and manage the production team, including two direct reports: the Manufacturing Manager and the Print Manager. a range of machinery, including, print CNC, lasers, wood, metal, and plastic-operated machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. the production schedule to meet short lead times and high-pressure demands, particularly during peak seasons (Public holidays, e.g. Christmas). closely with senior leadership to align production goals with business objectives. quality control and continuous improvement processes are in place to maintain high standards. staffing requirements, including hiring and managing temporary staff during busy periods. with various departments to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products.

experience in a production management role, preferably in a hands-on environment. leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. with a variety of machinery, including, print, CNC, lasers, and operated machinery for wood, metal, and plastic. organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations. mindset with a passion for implementing new ideas and improvements. communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Hours:
hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. may be required during peak seasons, including weekends and evenings.
