PW Hall is a leading manufacturer of colour and additive concentrates for the plastics and allied industries. We are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to complement our team. This key role will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and will be based at our manufacturing facilities at PW Hall in Kirkintilloch, Glasgow. This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday with occasional weekends as and when required by the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the production department, including manufacturing on three shifts Monday to Friday and both the incoming raw materials warehouse and the finished goods warehouse, as well as liaising closely with our development, quality, maintenance, and sales departments. This is a hands-on role leading, coaching, and mentoring the team to drive the business forward to improve all aspects of safety and environmental performance, product and process quality, manufacturing costs, customer service levels and people performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure a high standard of health & safety exists across all areas of the site.
Ensure compliance with the company’s environmental management system.
Ensure compliance with the company’s quality management system.
Ensure that the employees in the production department and well trained, well informed, and well-motivated so that the department is run efficiently, with high levels of output and low levels of quality defects.
Schedule production to maximise efficiency taking into account customer demand, as well as plant, manpower and raw material availability.
Seek to continually improve all aspects of the manufacturing processes.
Organise the employees in the production department with regards rota, holidays, training and disciplinary
Attend management meetings to contribute on matters such as quality, maintenance, IT,
health & safety and environmental
Stay up to date with technological changes within the industry.
Commercial awareness with an eye for seeing business improvement opportunities.
Highly motivated with a passion for driving operational business change.
EXPERIENCE
Experienced Production Manager
High degree of product, process, and mechanical knowledge
Thorough understanding of Company systems and procedures
Highly driven and motivated team player
Excellent Interpersonal skills
